When I was small ,I had a dream to be an astronaut. All I wanted walk and jump on that glittering objects which I see at night sky .I used to watch at them for hours and hours with my father. I loved to observe stars and flying objects in night sky. So I wished that I could be an astronaut in NASA. But I had no idea how hard that task is…But still …yes ,if I got a chance to join with NASA ,I’ll move to USA with my family.. But at the moment my boss have offered me a holiday with a unlimited budget! wow!! I have a nice plan for my vacation..that’s traveling to moon of course! Traveling to outer space is very costly..so this is the best chance for it. This is a unexpected vacation …so my family members can’t arrange their holidays according to this…My husband will stay with my two children to take care about them. Only two years of my life has passed in my life in this wonderful environment. But it feels as same as home. Beautiful surrounding, pleasant people makes me comfortable in this new home. There are so many wonderful places in this university ,which are named in special names such as: Thal wata Ala bamma Thel bamma   Sarungale   Saibe   IT gaha Those names are given for special reasons and there is a story behind each and every name. In first year ,our seniors told to seek information about them and know those things well.At that time it was a horrible task for us.But it seems more useful now because its easy to mention the places of our university to someone. Another thing came across my mind when thinking about first year in this university.We had wonderful set of functions which added wonderful unforgettable memories for our life.Some of them are:   Muwarada Welcome –talent show   Visit to Kelani temple   Padura ...

It was our last PPD lesson for this semester .We were informed that we are having a lecture which will be conducted by a visiting lecturer. He was Dr. Ajith Rohana Colonne .At first we thought that this will be another normal lecture for us, but we were wrong. Dr. Colonne shared his valuable experiences with us. The most amazing fact is that some of our colleagues who frequently fell asleep in lecturers didn’t sleep in this lecture… Dr.Collone explained how to be happy from what we already have with us,most importantly he told that not to compare our selves with others and not to be worry about what we don’t have.Even if we have problems with us he told that there is nothing that we get by being worry.Another important thing that I got from this lecture is that not to talk about other peoples things and situations.That will be a time waste and it is not a good practice. Dr.Colonne delivered a very useful lecture for us and he is a very friendly and humble person who does...

PPD lesson was there as scheduled, but unfortunately I missed that.Instead of  attending it I went to participate for an induction day which was organized for a project that we are planning to do with some foreign students who are from China and Mexico.Project is based on water conservation.We are planning to do awareness programs for school children and to hold beach cleaning programs  with our foreign friends.On induction day we explained and discussed about our future plan of the project.Also we explain them the way to live in this new environment (How to reach their destinations in buses ,where are the supermarkets ,how to be safe and etc. ).After all these things are done we did not forget to have some fun event with them.We danced with them at the end.It was an amazing experience where we had an opportunity to work with people which belongs to different cultures.      We asked our friends what are the activities that they have done in PPD sessi...

It was an another PPD session for us...groups were divided...a photo was given to each group.....it was asked to cut into more than 70 pieces ..... OK..We have to prepare the puzzle right??? That what we all thought...😅 After the pieces were given to us,we all started to collect pieces and tried to complete the picture...but then we realized that some pieces are not belong to us and some of our pieces are missing! Then we were told to negotiate with other groups to get our missing pieces and be the group who complete the barter puzzle first!And  we knew that negotiation won't be so easy with our colleagues....😅😅😅 It was started and we were very busy with our task....we had to negotiate with other groups and ask for our missing parts.First it was a very hard task to identify the parts that we want,because all the pictures look little bit similar.We have to talk with different kind of people and negotiate with them in different ways.Some pieces were easily given while other w...
