Life lessons in puzzle pieces - Barter Puzzle

It was an another PPD session for us...groups were divided...a photo was given to each group.....it was asked to cut into more than 70 pieces .....
OK..We have to prepare the puzzle right???
That what we all thought...πŸ˜…

After the pieces were given to us,we all started to collect pieces and tried to complete the picture...but then we realized that some pieces are not belong to us and some of our pieces are missing!
Then we were told to negotiate with other groups to get our missing pieces and be the group who complete the barter puzzle first! And  we knew that negotiation won't be so easy with our colleagues....πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
It was started and we were very busy with our task....we had to negotiate with other groups and ask for our missing parts.First it was a very hard task to identify the parts that we want, because all the pictures look little bit similar. We have to talk with different kind of people and negotiate with them in different ways. Some pieces were easily given while other were very hard to get.
Different groups used different strategies. One group even tore the one piece into two parts to increase the number of pieces, meanwhile some parties took puzzle pieces from other groups which belongs to them! Most of us saw that as a theftπŸ˜…..But in other hand we learned that strategies must be used when they are necessary. And it was their strategy which brought them to victory at the end.But that wasn't accepted by most. From that also we got that we can be success by using many methods..sometimes they won't be ethical all the time.We can be successful somehow..but it won't accept by society when it was revealed at the end.
Except these things we learned that,

  • Working together as a team with team spirit and how to achieve a common objective.
  • How to talk with other people politely and how to negotiate with different type of people.
  • How you concentrate on your project while keep an eye on the frauds that can be happened from other parties.
  • How a deal must be happened.
  • How to manage your project when someone tries to interfere your project work in the middle and try to engage you into a totally different activity currently you are in.
It was just a puzzle making activity. But we gained a lot than we thought at first. It's an experience, and we learned a lesson more than attending to hundred lectures.
