Out bound training session - Tricomalee Eastern Command Naval Base

Both our Software Engineering 1st and 2nd batches didn't get a chance to go a trip together. It was a great opportunity to get know each other of our junior batch and to make a strong bond among two batches.
On the Saturday morning we left the university premises at about 3.30 a.m.On the way we had a nice time with our friends .At about 10.00 a.m. we arrived to the naval base.First they showed and brought to our dometries. We got prepared for the exercise sessions and they served a delicious meal before we go to the coral cove beach. At the beach we were grouped to four groups which were named as Alpha,Bravo,Charlie and Delta.I was in the Bravo team.We did four group activities which their main priority to show us that what is leadership and why we need it in a group work.In first activity we had to go through a square frame without touching it.Eight people had to go through that and I was also assigned by my group members
😅
Somehow I was managed to go through the frame successfully! Our team was able to send seven people through the frame within the allocated time.
In second activity we had to pass a marble through pipes without drop it on the floor.Third activity was fascinating.Ten people had to go in a line while holding a wooden log between each other. They had to put a pressure to keep it and avoid drop on floor.Another rule is not to take hand from the head. Therefore others who watch them began to disturb them by telling jokes and make them laugh.😂
Next activity is similar to a volley ball match. We had to throw the ball from one side of the net by using something called "little cap".Then another one had to catch that ball.
We didn't got tired by this session, and thought it would be nice if we have more games!
In the evening we had a variety show to show dramatic, singing and dancing talents. We prepared items for that instantly and performed them in front of our audience. Our team presented a group song and a fascinating comedy drama.
After the show we all danced for the acoustic music provided by the naval band. Then we had the dinner night at the beach which was a unforgettable memory because it was my first time which attend to a beach party.
On the second day after our breakfast we were again divided to new groups. Then they gave us a compass and a map,and taught us how to use those things to cross a forest. Then we went to the forest and we had to find the way to the end point.Team leader appointed two people as the tail of the team because therefore nobody is going to missing in the forest. While we were on the way we heard some ones sound through the woods. We went there and we found someone who injured. He was a soldier who acted as a injured person to teach us how to handle such a situation. Our team got wrong decisions and he explained us the real things that we must do, and we identified our weaknesses from that activity.Somehow through a rough road we crossed the forest and reached to the end point before the time expected.
Then we had a tour to the naval museum located inside their base, and got to know lot of things about Sri Lanka navy, what are the services that they have done and what types of technologies that they have used in the war era etc. Then they had a plan take us to the air riffle training area. But unfortunately time was not enough to get that wonderful opportunity.
 ðŸ˜”
After the lunch we delivered our gratitude to the naval staff  who helped us and we leaved the Trinco Eastern Command Naval Base after gaining wonderful leadership experience, which we can't gain easily from a normal PPD session. Not only what we gained from that training but we enjoyed a lot with our colleagues since we usually doesn't get a chance to go a trip together in the middle of the semester.
